Studio presents volume 6 in the Sound(E)scapes series by Glenn Sogge.

This album is a very nice two track project.
The first track features some excellent free form piano. The second is a somewhat otherworldly, synth based experimental.

Per the composer:

These pieces continue the exploration of automatic music systems that were released on the two volumes of "A Composer's Garden" and other pieces.

"Process As A Gradual Music, Part 1" uses 4 Kontakt and Reaktor instruments for sound generation (2 different versions of The Giant, DRON-E, and Prism.) All instruments are controlled by the same MIDI from the Reaktor sequencer Spiral. Manual mixing was done after the fact.

"Process As A Gradual Music, Part 2" uses a custom built (in Reaktor Blocks) synth called MiniXen. This synth was designed and built to explore alternate tuning systems, i.e., it is a Xenharmonic tool. This piece explores the space of a 33ED4 tuning (33 equal divisions of 2 octaves.) The piece is a single, real time track of MiniXen controlled by another Reaktor tool--the Spiral sequencer.
