Beyond The Below is a Finnish ambient/drone project formed in 2017 by Tommi Ilmanen. Driven by the need to give his dreams, visions and experiences a musical form.
The goal of his music is to create dark and melancholic soundscapes that invoke feelings of wonder, of being on a journey or even living a nightmare. His sound is built on heavily manipulated and reverberated guitar, and basslines, with electronics, (eerie synths and echoing percussions), completing the palette.
Beyond the Below is a passage through the mind of it's creator, trying to leave a mark in the heart and soul of the listener.
